Located in the centre of Playa de Las Americas, Golf Las Américas was inaugerated in 1998.
The course is a par 72 championship course which has hosted many international tournaments over the years. Set in an anfi-theathre surrounded by hills and mountains, the course enjoys a year round avg temperature of 23º c.
One of the principal features of the course is the amount of lakes and streams which meander throughout and is the natural habitat for much of the wildlife and flora.
The course was designed by the well known John Jacobs and assoc. The course is an easy walk for golfer choosing not to avail of the buggy´s available. Some of the holes of special interest are the 1st which is a Par 5 of 491 yds with a lake in front of the green. The 5th which is a par 3 of 212 yeards playing over a lake. The 9th which is a dog-leg Par 4 and returns you to the clubhouse. The last of the par 5´s is the 18th which is a memorable finish of 513 yds with another lake bordering the right side of the final approach to the green which is situated under the magnificent clubhouse. A great round to remember!!
