The Blairgowrie Golf Club was founded as a private members club in 1889 and is situated in the heart of the magnificent Perthshire countryside. The Club features the renowned Rosemount and Lansdowne championship courses plus a very attractive 9-hole course which are set in heather lined avenues of pine and silver birch.
The courses of The Blairgowrie Golf Club are virtually unique and have that wonderful charm found at very few courses where each hole is unaffected and untouched by another. The combination of Heathland and Woodland provides each hole with a peace and tranquillity completely unspoilt by preceding or following games.
The pine, silver birch and heather lined fairways provide a natural habitat to be enjoyed not just by the golfers, but shared with the exquisite wildlife, which includes deer and red squirrels, woodpeckers and oyster catchers to name but a few.
Rosemount Course - Described by Tom Morris as, "The most beautiful inland green I have ever seen", the Rosemount course certainly lives up to its reputation. Designed by James Braid with influences from Dr. prestigious professional and amateur tournaments. It was the scene of Greg Norman's first European Tour victory in the 1977 Martini event. Rosemount was voted 11th best course to play in Scotland by the readers of Scotland's premier golf magazine.
