This is a hilly course that covers 2,900 metres, par 36, with alternating ascending, descending and terrace holes. Part of the course lies in a centennial oak and chestnut wood. There are various water obstacles along the course that, in addition to affecting the game, are home to a variety of aquatic birds.
The golf course is overlooked by Castello della Bastardina, which dates from the 18th century.
TECHNICAL DATA: 9 holes, par 36, 2,900 metres men's C.R. 71.1 SLOPE 138, 2,550 metres women's C.R. 73.5 SLOPE 131, inaugurated in 1994. 9-hole pitch & putt under construction.
FACILITIES: club house, bar, pro shop, driving range with 12 open and 4 covered positions, putting green, golf carts.
SEASON: open all year round, closed Mondays (except bank holidays)
HOW TO GET THERE: A1 motorway: from Bologna exit at Piacenza Sud and drive towards Piacenza Ovest, turn right at the motorway exit and follow directions to San Nicolò. At the San Nicolò traffic lights, turn left towards Borgonovo Val Tidone. In Gragnanino continue straight on for 4 km. Before the bridge over the river Tidone, turn left and follow signs for the club. From Milan Casalpusterlengo exit, drive towards Pavia, then follow signs for Castel San Giovanni and Borgonovo Val Tidone. At this point, turn left to Mottaziana, cross the bridge over the Tidone and turn immediately right towards Tavernago - Bastardina, after 3 km you'll find the golf course.
