Woodenbridge golf club is located in the very pretty Vale of Avoca, and the essential visiting time is in the spring when the cherry trees are in full blossom. Created 100 years ago, this fine golf course became very popular when Paddy Merrigan upgraded it to 18 holes in 1993.
The only vegetation are the few trees, here and there which come into play from time to time, but the main hazards are the bunkers and the water features. There are no unpleasant surprises for visitors, as the difficulties are clearly visible from each tee and add to the course's overall honestly. There is no great need to flight your shots, and only the variety of approach shots call for real talent.
Facilities offered are changing rooms with showers, catering facilities, bar, trolley hire, and buggy hire.
