The course at Portmarnock was designed by Bernhard Langer and Stan Eby and comes alive from the 8th hole onwards as the choice of club becomes decidedly tougher. With neither water nor trees the magnificently designed course has only a wealth of bushes, and the strategically located bunkers and greens make for an exciting play. The use of natural features, combined elevated tees and green, blind approaches and acute doglegs will keep you thinking through every round.
