Paris International Golf Club

Foreword by Jack Nicklaus

Fellow golfers,

The golf course I have created offers an interesting blend of holes, some play out in the open, others flow nicely through the rolling terrain which makes up most of this French countryside. It will be an enjoyable yet challenging golf course which will test the skills of golfers at all levels, from the beginner to the experienced player.

I am confident that it will be an unforgettable golfing experience.

Best wishes.
Jack Nicklaus

Course Review

Hole 1 is a Par 4 at 342 (meters) from the white tees and Hcp 15
A fairly short hole with a wide fairway and a well protected green. It will be easier to reach with a tee shot placed on the left of the fairway.

Hole 2 is a Par 3 at 145 (meters) from the white tees and Hcp 17
An iron to be played to the green between a bunker on the left and trees to the right. There are some difficult borrows on this green which is difficult to read.

Hole 3 is a Par 5 at 504 (meters) from the white tees and Hcp 9
First difficulties which enhance the layout of the course: water on side and the safer option on the other. Play this hole down the left side from the tee to the green.

Hole 4 is a Par 4 at 369 (meters) from the white tees and Hcp 5
Two bunkers on the left side to protect the green whereas the mounds on the right sometimes bring the ball back.

Hole 5 is a Par 4 at 385 (meters) from the white tees and Hcp 1
An extremely long hole usually played against the wind. Play down the left side of the fairway to avoid the two main dangers on the right: first a big sand bank, then a bunker in front of the green.

Hole 6 is a Par 3 at 179 (meters) from the white tees and Hcp 11
A water hazard protects most of the green on the left. Some will choose to aim at the flag, whereas the more careful golfer will play to the right side of the green, free of trouble

Hole 7 is a Par 4 at 344 (meters) from the white tees and Hcp 7
Do not try to cut the corner to the right over this dog leg. The drive must be played to the fairways to reach the green where a bunker awaits long shots behind the green.

Hole 8 is a Par 5 at 472 (meters) from the white tees and Hcp 13
On the second shot you have two options: play short of the obstacle and you will be 135 meters from the green of play a wood and have an easier approach.

Hole 9 is a Par 4 at 378 (meters) from the white tees and Hcp 3
Placing the tee shot on the left side of the fairway shortens the hole but you will need a very accurate second shot to carry the water hazard in front of the green.

Hole 10 is a Par 5 at 449 (meters) from the white tees and Hcp 9.

To reach this elevated green and avoid the deepest bunker on the course, take the upward slope into account.

Hole 11 is a Par 4 at 340 (meters) from the white tees and Hcp 2
Play the first shot to the right to have a better opening for the second shot.

Hole 12 is a Par 4 at 384 (meters) from the white tees and Hcp 6
A tee shot placed near the bunker will give you the best angle to reach the green.

Hole 13 is a Par 3 at 131 (meters) from the white tees and Hcp 18
The choice of club is primordial as the green is narrow. Most of all do not be short of the green.

Hole 14 is a Par 4 at 301 (meters) from the white tees and Hcp 12
A tee shot placed on the left will give you the best angle to reach the green.

Hole 15 is a Par 3 at 180 (meters) from the white tees and Hcp 10
A very long par 3 with a bunker to avoid on the green. Play it to the left for safety.

Hole 16 is a Par 4 at 386 (meters) from the white tees and Hcp 8
To have the best shot to the green, play your tee shot to the right toward the sequoia. Be careful of the ditch and the bunker which protect the green.

Hole 17 is a Par 4 at 365 (meters) from the white tees and Hcp 4
After a long tee shot, play your second shot to the left to prevent the ball running down the to the right with the slope.

Hole 18 is a Par 5 at 464 (meters) from the white tees and Hcp 16
The brave hearted will try to reach the green in 2 for a birdie, but whatever your level of golf everything can happen on this course.
