Location:- This is the most Western golf course in France and is located minutes from the centre of the delightful town of Brest.
Brest Iroise Golf Course is laid out amidst heath and moorland, and is France's most westerly golf course. The excellent Michael Fream has designed this magnificent layout that hugs the terrain, which was almost made for golf, with a number of slopes to break the monotony.
The gives some fine views over the country and the Monts d'Aree. The landscape, and the round, is enhanced with some thick country bush, gorse bushes and rocks. Reasonable in length this is a course for golfers of all standards who will enjoy greens that are generally hard and well defended by some pretty original bunkers. Maintenance has improved thanks to some extensive drainage work but is inconsistent throughout the year.
The clubhouse is now part of the totally refurbished Golf Hotel, and with the re-opening of a 9-hole course, Brest Iroise is now an excellent weekend destination.
