The beautiful city of Biarritz is nestled on the south west coast of France, and boasts without doubt top quality golf courses. This is one of the best regions for golf in mainland Europe, with four courses in Europe's top 100 and a further four courses in the top 50 in France. All of the courses are situated together, tightly packed along the coast with a few in the nearby national park.
The nightlife in the area is varied so you will find the right club or bar for a great night of entertainment. The weather is pleasant and with the sea air the entire region enjoys a fantastic climate for most of the year.
As well as Biarritz being renowned for its top quality golf there are other recreation activities available, including climbing in the nearby Pyrenees, tennis and even surfing. The region is littered with stunning chateau's, villas and monuments which all add to the already atmospheric surroundings. Everywhere is easily reachable by motorway, and in most cases you will enjoy your drive through the national park, or along the coastline.
Similar to the south coast of England the region has many towns varying in size situated all along the coast line.

Saint-Jean-De-Luz, again this town used to be a port and still has a seaside resort feel to it. The town is full of character and has themed houses and boats, which are all brightly painted. Shopping is very good and the scenic historic buildings give the feeling of stepping back in time.
